As some might have noticed, the Knowledge Base has been unavailable for the last few weeks; after some security concerns we decided to take it offline.
This brought up the question amongst the network operators of Shadowfire of whether we want to continue running the support infrastructure, at the moment this is the knowledge base and website, on our own hardware. Ultimately we don't really buy that much by running everything ourselves, there is no tight integration between all the software Shadowfire runs on or no major customizations that we rely on. Web servers are not the hardware friendliest pieces of software and, outside of the IRC servers themselves, we have relatively little hardware to run such things on, so we decided to move to hosted services for these things.
